The Challenge: Hot and Stuffy Factory Despite Existing HVLS Fans
For this factory project, the client was facing a hot and stuffy indoor environment.
The factory already had insulated roofing, HVLS fans, and a few small exhaust fans installed. However, the working area still felt uncomfortable because the existing setup mainly circulated indoor air, but did not provide enough fresh air supply and hot air extraction.
To improve the condition, the factory required a more complete ventilation approach using both air coolers and exhaust fans.
A properly planned factory cooling system should consider both fresh air supply and exhaust air removal, instead of relying on air circulation alone.
The Solution: AC-350 Air Coolers with EX-325 Exhaust Fans
CrystalAir installed a combination of CrystalAir AC-350 evaporative air coolers and CrystalAir EX-325 exhaust fansfor this factory ventilation project.
The AC-350 air coolers were used to supply fresh cooled air into the factory, while the EX-325 exhaust fans were used to extract hot and stagnant indoor air.
The factory was split into two main sections:
Left section:
2 units AC-350 air cooler + 4 units EX-325 exhaust fan
Right section:
2 units AC-350 air cooler + 6 units EX-325 exhaust fan
In total, the project involved 4 units of AC-350 air coolers and 10 units of EX-325 exhaust fans.
Key Design Features of this Project:
- Fresh Cooled Air Supply: AC-350 air coolers were installed to introduce fresh cooled air into the working area.
- Hot Air Extraction: EX-325 exhaust fans were installed to remove hot and stagnant air from the factory.
- Section-Based Layout: The factory was divided into left and right sections for better airflow planning.
