The Challenge: High Temperature on Instant Noodle Production Floor

An instant noodle production floor can become very hot due to cooking processes, production equipment, and limited air movement inside the factory. For this site, the working area recorded a temperature of 43°C, creating uncomfortable conditions for workers during operation.

The client wanted to improve the factory environment by introducing fresh cooled air into the production area. As the first stage, they requested to install the air cooler system first, while the matching exhaust fan system would be considered in the next phase.

The Solution: CrystalAir AC-500 Evaporative Air Cooler Installation

CrystalAir installed 4 units of CrystalAir AC-500 evaporative air coolers, each with an airflow capacity of 50,000 CMH, to supply cooled fresh air into the instant noodle production floor.

The air cooler units were installed externally along the factory wall, with ducting arranged to deliver air into the indoor production area. This setup keeps the main equipment outside the production space while allowing high-volume airflow to be supplied into the required working zone.

This project was carried out as a Phase 1 cooling improvement, before the installation of a matching exhaust fan system.

Key Design Features of this Project:

  • High-Volume Fresh Air Supply: 4 units of AC-500 air coolers were installed to deliver large airflow into the production floor.

  • External Unit Installation: The units were positioned outside the factory wall to keep the equipment away from the main production area.

  • Ducted Air Delivery: Cooled fresh air was supplied into the indoor working zone through ducting.

  • Phase 1 Cooling Upgrade: The client requested to complete the air cooler installation first, with the exhaust fan system planned as a possible next stage.

The Result: Temperature Reduced from 43°C to 36°C

After the Phase 1 air cooler installation, the on-site temperature reading improved from 43°C to 36°C, showing an initial reduction of 7°C on the production floor.

Although the matching exhaust fan system has not yet been completed at this stage, the result already shows a noticeable improvement in the working environment. With a properly matched exhaust system in the next stage, the overall airflow balance and heat removal performance can be further improved.
